Sarah Norris, LPC-MHSP

Sarah helps people connect to their stories, understand how they’ve made sense of themselves & their world, and confront what might be getting in their way. She believes healing happens by risking greater intimacy with self and others. Sarah’s therapeutic approach is grounded in the Spiritual Root System™ and informed by narrative therapy with a blend of family systems theory, interpersonal and existential philosophies.

Sarah is trained in EMDR, a type of psychotherapy that helps access traumatic memories and move them from emotional activation to a more rational place. In addition to trauma (e.g. painful childhood experiences or relational betrayal), she works with anxiety, depression, addiction, perfectionism, performance based identity, and women who need to reclaim their voice in relationships. Outside of therapy sessions, Sarah is the Managing Director of Sage Hill Counseling. Before pursuing a career in counseling, Sarah spent five years in the music business until she began paying greater attention to her own desires, hopes, and needs.
