About Your Practice
How did you get into this profession?
I had personal counselors throughout childhood and into adult life. Having gone through two divorces and living with an alcoholic, I learned so much about the importance of maintaining mental health and self-discovery. My son became addicted to opioids and the journey to sobriety with him was really where I made the decision that my gifts in guiding people toward healing were my calling. I am a counselor because I know feelings of hopelessness, loss, and despair, as well as those of faith and hope. I want to share that with others.

Who has influenced your work?
My children - parenting is not for sissies. Jim Schleicher, Jesus

How does your faith play itself out in your work?
Faith is like spiritual nourishment. It is what drives us toward something better for ourselves and others. Faith that although our circumstances may not change, we can change our perspectives.
