Glossary of Heart: Control vs. Faith

Control is trusting what we can see with our eyes, produce with our hands, or cause to happen through our planning and manipulation.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for. Faith is trusting what we cannot see with our eyes. Through listening to hope in spite of doubts, we dare to believe that there is a way beyond our greatest obstacles. Faith gives substance to our hope and ultimately leads to healing.

This Glossary of Heart presents a daily choice for us. The first option keeps us where we are. The second option takes us on a journey into our hearts. It’s the hardest yet most courageous choice we can make. I hope you take the risk.
